Esch a Flamen is a feminist science fiction film about Rapha, an astronaut from 2222, who travels through a wormhole to 2022 in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. There, in the old mines, she unearths an object that the future urgently needs because of the climate crisis. The mission is sabotaged shortly after the discovery, and reality crumbles into ashes.

The three-channel audiovisual piece ‘Respiration’ presents a choreography of pain repeated in a loop, filmed by Stella-Joya Puelacher. It is accompanied by breaths through a Paetzold flute and a sound composition written by myself, played by Dora Donata Sammer. Inspired by Johana Hedva's ‘Sick Women Theory’ and based on my own experiences with endometriosis, this installation explores a feminist perspective on the female body.

AnthropOcean is a multi-channel video and sound installation on the topic of underwater noise pollution. It is a 360° spatial installation with a duration of 10 minutes, in which the audience can immerse themselves in the underwater world. Using spatialised sound recordings from Marseille, one of the noisiest underwater locations in Europe, the calm sounds of the sea are transformed into roaring background noise. The interaction of image and sound provokes a feeling of disorientation and oppression.

In what language do we dream, think, tell stories? Where do these issues play out in gesture, voice and narration? If the relationship with language remains a fairly opaque domain, sometimes of the untranslatable order, perhaps singing can accompany the tone of a voice and complete its meaning. Language is not just a tool for understanding, it is also a precious practice, a vehicle for stories, anecdotes and memories, where sometimes sound takes precedence over meaning. Image and sound respond to each other in a choreography of gestures, landscapes and moods. The songs deal with common themes: exile, departure, romantic love, parenthood, dreams and effort. These associations can give rise to different interpretations, often fictional - like being lost in translation.

“dezember 1996” is a video composed from fragments of the artist’s personal and family archives in Beaufort, Luxembourg. In 1996, the winter was still cold, and the road was icy, allowing ice skating. This moment was a special event at the time. The woman carrying the child in her arms is the artist’s mother, who was pregnant at the time. The sound in the video is reconstructed from memories of a time before the artist’s time, a time that no longer exists. The video is a process of mourning, concerning the disappearance of the snow, linked to the climate crisis, and the nostalgia of a family that changes over time.
